Language Policy |
The school emphasises the development of bi-literacy and tri-lingualism of our students. Junior form students are grouped into streams according to their language ability. Maths is taught in English across the whole form, whereas some subjects (Integrated Science, Geography, Computer Literacy) are taught either in Chinese or English according to their language ability.<br>The English panel offers a variety of language ability, such as prose-reading, speech, drama, debate and English speaking day, to enrich the language learning of students and prepare our students to learn in English. The English corner opens during lunch time and after school to provide interesting language activities with our NETs.<br>Chinese and Putonghua panels also organise prose reading and debate competition. The school also organises the Language Fun Fair every year, to encourage students to use language in a interesting way. |
Learning and Teaching Strategies |
Elements of value education and STEAM education have been incorporated in our junior curriculum, so as to equip our students with necessary knowledge and skills in their personal growth and care for the community. The school offers a variety of elective subjects for students to choose according to their interests and ability. Some subjects are taught in split-class, which offer small-class learning and cater for our students. In recent years, all subjects have developed electronic learning by making use of the online learning platform in learning and teaching, to make sure students can learn effectively in different situations. |

Curriculum highlights: The school encourages cross-curricular cooperation among different subjects. Language Across Curriculum Team coordinates English panel with other panels to design some thematic learning modules. Chinese panel also designed school-based modules to help students in learning classic Chinese. |
Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity |
The school sets up Gifted Education Team which aims to provide quality training for our gifted students.<br>Learning support Team is responsible for coordinating the remedial classes after school for those students in need.<br>Summer bridging course is organised for those students promoting to S4 to adapt to using English as medium of instruction. In addition, Pre-S.1 English Bridging Programme and Language Enhancement Class are prepared for Pre S1 students to help them familiarise with the new learning environment in secondary school.<br>Student Support Team (comprises of SEN Coordinator, Support teachers, Education Psychologist, Speech Therapist, Social worker and Student counsellor) is set up to cater for the diversified learning needs of the students. |
Approach to Integrated Education |
The Student Support Team, comprised of SENCO, Student Counselor, Teaching assistants, teachers and social worker, which aims to provide learning supports to SEN students and to foster an inclusive learning environment which respect individual learning difference. With the use of Learning Support Grant, we provide specific training to SEN students such as, social skills training, speech therapy services, etc. In addition, we will provide community service activities or arts activities for students. Individual Education Plan will be provided for students who require coordinated supports among different stakeholders. |

Home-School Co-operation |
Our Parent-Teacher Association organizes parent education activities, picnics, parents-child reading activities, computer training and students growth seminars. The Parent-Teacher Association also holds Parents Breakfast Meetings, and sponsors The Best Sportsman Award, The Highest Score Award of each subject and The Best Student Award. |
