Language Policy 1. The school implements mother-tongue teaching and focuses on biliteracy and trilingualism to nurture students’ language proficiency. 2&3. Optimization of school-based English courses and teaching materials to enhance teaching effectiveness. Encourage students to actively participate in English debates, dramas, recitations, essay competitions, English Days, Daily News and Lunchtime English Tea Gathering to get them engaged in English. 4. Implementation of “Extended English Activity” for cross-curricular learning in chosen subjects to enhance learning effectiveness.
Learning and Teaching Strategies 1. The curriculum design is student-centered and focuses on balanced and comprehensive development of students. 2. Hire additional teachers and teaching assistants to enhance interaction between teachers and students and cater for students’ learning diversities. 3. Teaching of Chin, Eng, and Maths are conducted in groups according to the abilities of students to promote adaptive teaching. Curriculum and teaching materials are tailor-made according to the abilities of students which cater for students with different abilities and learning styles. 4. Use assessment data to assess students’ academic abilities continuously, adjust teaching strategies to enhance learning and teaching effectiveness. 5. Provide diversified after-school support programs to students, such as enrichment classes for core subjects, homework tutorial classes, advanced academic Eng classes and academic performance improvement classes.
School-based curriculum 1. Electives: 2X and 3X. 11 electives, additional electives under Taipo Joint-school programme; applied learning courses.<br> 2. Curriculum highlights: <br>(1) Strengthen interdisciplinary collaborative learning activities, promote diversified learning experiences and cultivate positive values and attitudes. <br>(2) Eng programmes are organized for S1-S3 students to build up their personal Eng word bank. <br>(3) Programming and AI courses are introduced in junior Computer Edu; Cross-curricular learning for STEM Edu is added in Sci, Maths and D&T. <br>(4) SEL programme is introduced in S4 to integrate positive psychology and growth mindset to promote students' physical and mental health. <br>(5) Setting up of S5 STEM, Sports and Arts curriculum to cultivate students’ generic skills. <br>(6) English for Professional Communication course is included in S6 to consolidate students’ English usage and communication skills. <br>(7) Widen students' exposures and horizons through organizing extended learning experiences like field trips, exchange studies and volunteering trainings.
Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity 1. Core subjects like Chi, Eng and Math are taught in small groups to cater for students’ learning diversities. 2. Each subject will stipulate the difficulty ratio of test papers to complement with the evaluation of learning enhancement, follow up the student’s learning process, supplemented by appropriate teaching strategies and learning materials to enhance students’ learning. 3. Guidance and Discipline Team runs “Yes We Can”, which promotes students’ active participation in various activities to cultivate students’ growth. 4. Fully utilise the e-learning platform to allow students to conduct self-assessment and peer-to-peer collaborative learning to extend what they have learned. 5. Provide training for gifted students and recommend them to gifted education programs run by different institutions to explore their potential.
Approach to Integrated Education 1. Learning Support Team includes members of SEN coordinator, supporting teachers, social workers to school-based educational psychologist; support direction includes L&T, student growth, etc. 2. For L&T, “Group Education Plan” designs appropriate courses based on the principle of “one step at a time” and encourages peers to form learning circles. In addition, in order to train students to learn proactively, there are homework classes to support students in all aspects and strengthen their learning foundation. 3. For student growth, lunchtime and after-school activities are run to enhance students’ social skills. In addition, in cooperation with Career Life Planning Team, we provide students with career orientation courses and communication skills training, so that students can plan their future directions. 4. For home-school cooperation, Learning Support Team arranges meetings with parents regularly and follows up students’ cases, provides parents with Student Support Summary to let parents understand the students’ learning progress. 5. For teacher’s professional development, we invite school-based professionals to provide training for teachers and share their expertise on students’ learning and personal growth. Through active participation in the School-based Support Program (SEN) run by the EDB, we continue to connect teachers’ continuous professional development, school-based curriculum development and school development together to enhance students’ learning.
Education Support for Non-Chinese Speaking (NCS) Students
Home-School Co-operation 1. Home visits and parent gatherings are organized to enhance the understanding of parents and students, foster closer relationship between teachers and students and enhance the cooperation between school and home. <br>2. Home-school cooperation has been harmonious throughout the years. Parent Teacher Association (PTA) will actively organize social activities, such as Chinese painting classes, calligraphy, interest groups and participate in school volunteer services to strengthen parent-child and home-school exchanges.<br>3. Collaborated with NGOs and other organizations to organize seminars, talks and workshops for parents and teachers to provide support in enhancing knowledge in parenting and communication skills. <br>4. Two publications are published every year to strengthen linkage among stakeholders.

Strengthening cohesion through class building and establishing common goals. Conduct "class teacher meetings" regularly to fully care for the growth of students. <br>5. Organize diversified social groups or team activities to cultivate student's moral quality. <br>6. Introduction of "Social Emotional Learning" course (SEL) in S.4 to enhance students' positive motivation and resilience and develop positive emotions and character.

Teacher Professional Training and Development 1. Organise more professional training workshops to cater students with special learning needs. Meetings and workshops are arranged regularly for teachers to facilitate teachers' professional development in this area of concern. 2. Optimize self-evaluation mechanism through homework inspection and students' survey to monitor the quality of teaching and learning. 3. Implement E-learning and strengthen teacher-related training to foster various teaching methods and enhance effectiveness of teaching and learning. 4. Strengthen teachers' assessment literacy and promote electronic assessment, leverage the "Talent Pool" in scientific research, the Jockey Club School-based Multiple Pathways Program's "Data Management Platform" (DMP), in combination with artificial intelligence and big data technologies, systematically identify students' strengths and weaknesses, intervene as quickly as we can to provide students with appropriate learning support. 5. Strengthen the review of "APASO III" data, optimize school's strategies for student growth and development and take care of student development and growth.
Life-wide Learning 1. Setting up of twenty or more interest clubs and organisation of multiple school sports teams to cater to and to develop a variety of interests conducive to all-round development of different students. 2. Organisation of various interdisciplinary activities and project studies every year to enhance the learning atmosphere on campus. 3. Volunteer training is arranged at all levels to allow students to enter the community to serve people from different walks of life, for example the elderly living alone, the visually impaired and the physically disabled. 4. Organisation of the "Macau Team Challenge Activity" annually to allow S4 students to step outside the classroom and broaden their horizons. 5. Actively participate in the characteristic learning activities of different institutions to expand the learning journey of students, such as: "School-based Support Services" by EDB; iTeen Leadership Programme for Senior Secondary School student by ICAC, "Educational Innovation Leadership Project (EdILP)" organised by EdUHK, "Coral Nursery Education Programme" organised by CUHK, "Guardian of the Ficus Tree: Student Experiential Learning Programme" by HKU Biology Department, "Hong Kong Secondary Data Science & STEM elite learning programme" by HKPU and LU & HKJC ICH+ Innovative Heritage Education Programme. 6. Organisation of overseas exchange activities, namely "Hangzhou, Shaoxing Culture, Innovation and Technology Exploration Tour" and "Buddhism and Culture Study Delegation to Cambodia" and "2023 Dongguan, Taiwan, HK and Macau Youth Science and Technology Education Exchange and the 2nd "Guanyi Cup" Robot Invitational Competition". <br>7. Encourage students to actively participate in off-campus and competitions to enrich their learning experience and broaden their horizons, for example, "Young Astronaut Training Camp", "Outstanding Student competition Taipo District" and "Outstanding Youth Competition Taipo District".
