Language Policy Our school adopts Chinese as the teaching medium for effective learning and teaching. Strategies such as Language across Curricula, and small-class and group teaching are deployed so as to consolidate students’ English proficiency for further study and enhance student' learning efficacy in English. In addition, a wide array of English learning activities are organised to pique students’ interest in learning English. They include English Morning Assemblies, English Debate, Drama, Puppetry, English Performances, and Quizzes. The Native English Teacher Scheme and after-school English tutorial classes are arranged as well.
Learning and Teaching Strategies Our school strives to inculcate students’ positive learning attitude. Through the implementation of self-regulated learning, collaborate learning, lesson preparation and e-Learning strategies, we aim to enhance students’ participation in their own learning and enhance students' learning efficacy. Multiple assessment methods are adopted to assess students’ learning progress to achieve assessment as learning. To cultivate students’ reading habit, Reading across the curriculum is promoted through the collaboration of subjects in different Key Learning Areas and the implementation of reading award schemes. We also promote STEAM Education, implement various cross-curricular learning activities and organise after-school homework sessions for junior forms, tutorial classes and academic enhancement classes to enhance students’ learning effectiveness.

Curriculum highlights: To enhance students' language and mathematical abilities, to broaden their knowledge, to develop their critical thinking, independent learning and interpersonal skills. To widen students' exposure to other learning experiences which suit their study needs, interests and abilities and to better equip students for further studies as well as meeting the needs of an ever-changing society.
Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity We implement small class and group teaching, developed school-based curriculum as well as strategies related to collaborative learning and e-learning to cater for learners' diversities. Tutorials in Chinese and English and interest groups are organised for newly arrived children (NAC). The Healthy School Programme is implemented to cultivate positive values and promote healthy life styles among students.
Approach to Integrated Education The SEN Support Team is established for planning, implementing, and evaluating the support offered to SEN students and formulating the policies for integrated education. Members include Assistant Principal, Social Workers, Special Educational Needs Coordinator and Support Teachers. Our school makes effective and flexible use of the Learning Support Grant for the timely support to SEN students. We work closely with parents, school social workers, educational psychologists, speech therapist and professional staff from EDB to ensure the provision of appropriate support to our students. The Team is also responsible for making special arrangements for the internal tests and examinations for SEN students, and assisting the students with special needs for the application for HKEAA's special examination arrangements.
Education Support for Non-Chinese Speaking (NCS) Students
Home-School Co-operation 1. Better communication and mutual trust between parents and teachers and parents and children can be enhanced through various kinds of activities held by the PTA.<br>2. Parent representatives for the SMC are elected so as to reflect the parents' views.<br>3. Parent Education is promoted through talks, workshops and parents' groups.
School Ethos We lay great emphasis on students' behaviour and conduct. We adopt the "Co-class Teacher System" from S.1 to S.6, which provides better support for individual students. With the concerted efforts of all teams/committees in the Whole Person Development Committee, various student support programmes and activities are organised according to students' needs at different stages of personal growth so as to inculcate students as responsible citizens. Counselling Team is set up to help students and the "One Student One Duty" Scheme has been launched. Also, 3 social workers from the International Social Services Hong Kong Branch station in school five days a week to provide professional advice for students. Our school has joined the School-based Educational Psychology Service and School-based Speech Therapy Service, Educational Psychologist and Speech Therapist will station in the school. Every S.1 student is required to join sports and arts activities, and social services to foster discipline and the spirit to serve others. Extra care is given to S.1 students with the introduction of S.1 Sunshine Teen Programme together with S.1 Adjustment Programme.

Teacher Professional Training and Development Our school encourages peer lesson observation, cooperative teaching of teachers and open lessons. We provide numerous resources to help teachers to pursue continuous professional development and keep up with the latest developments in the field of education. We organise Staff Development Days and take part in joint-school Teacher Symposium to enhance learning and teaching effectiveness. We provide support for newly-joined teachers through mentorship scheme so that they can better adapt to a new school environment.
Life-wide Learning There are 24 clubs in our school which can be classified into three major types - academic, interest and service groups. There are also four Houses, namely "Intelligence", "Wisdom", "Health" and "Physique". Various inter-house competitions such as ball games and academic quizzes are held every year. Through their participation in various activities, students develop their sense of moral values and attitudes, skills and creativity, thus enabling them to attain an all-round development.
