Language Policy |
Our language policy is in the line with the EDB policy of promoting biliteracy and trilingualism in Hong Kong schools. To provide our students with more opportunities to be exposed to and use English at junior secondary levels, we are revising and developing our school-based curriculum in English Language for junior form students and running English Enhancement Courses for senior form students. Concurrently, English terms will also be incorporated in the learning materials of other non-language subjects. Supporting measures such as Chinese and English Extensive Reading Schemes, Morning Reading Scheme, participating in Chinese and English Speech Festival, English Debating Competition, organizing tutorial classes for Chinese and English and English Drama Performance are also conducted so as to meet the policy goal of upholding mother-tongue teaching while enhancing students' proficiency in both Chinese and English. |
