Language Policy 1. We provide full ENGLISH Medium of Instruction (EMI) and CHINESE Medium of Instruction (CMI) streams to cater to the diverse needs of our students. Students are placed in the EMI or CMI stream based on their learning needs. <br>2. Students in the same form are divided into different groups according to their language proficiency levels in Chinese Language and English Language.<br>3. We offer the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (DSE) in both English and Chinese, as well as Chinese GCSE for non-native speakers of Chinese. Apart from the HKDSE, non-Chinese speaking students can apply for the GCSE Chinese Language Examinations instead. Applied Learning Chinese course for Non Chinese students is also provided.

Approach to Integrated Education Whole-school participation in integrated mode education: Our school's curriculum design and teaching strategies emphasize student active participation and collaborative learning. Students will have the opportunity to learn through different methods and tools, such as small group teaching, modern technology instruction, field trips, and more. Additionally, our school provides teaching and assessment arrangements, after-school homework tutoring, individualized educational plans, educational psychology services, speech therapy, emotional support counseling, and relevant referral services for both local and non-Chinese speaking students with special needs.<br>In addition to providing diversified choices for Chinese and non-Chinese speaking students in the curriculum, the school actively builds an inclusive campus through tailor-made growth support, creating an atmosphere that respects different cultures; and connecting the community resources, parent participation, and the use of outside professionals to provide services to the school to build a learning environment full of possibilities and provide students with different needs with a unique growth experience of teaching students in accordance with their aptitude.
Education Support for Non-Chinese Speaking (NCS) Students
Home-School Co-operation Our PTA was established in 1999. <br>1. Various activities are organized by the PTA, for example, talks and parent gatherings. <br>2. Our school invites parents to participate in our activities and share the school experience with their children. <br>3. Different communication methods have been set up. Parents can get the latest news about our campus through the school website, notices, newsletters, and parents' nights, etc.

Teacher Professional Training and Development 1. Staff Development Day. 2. We encourage professional sharing in staff meetings and seminars. 3. We run a mentorship scheme to help new teachers to adapt to our school culture and build up our team spirit. 4. Lesson observation. 5. Our staff supports the development of Chinese (Second Language Curriculum) and Chinese History learning materials for Non Chinese Students with the professional support of The University of Hong Kong and Education Bureau.
Life-wide Learning To help students make good use of their leisure time, enrich their school lives, develop their interests and achieve their full potential. <br>1. Interest Clubs: Our school provides different interest clubs and school teams for students to choose from. Activities cover different interests such as ball games, athletics, academic, community service, art and uniform teams organizations that can enhance students' lives. <br>2. Our school encourages students to participate in various external competitions and provides assistance to help them achieve outstanding results:<br>I) Academic: Hong Kong Schools Speech festival, Non Chinese student Cantonese Opera, inter-school mathematics, debate, speech and writing competitions.<br>II) Sports: participation in inter-school sport competitions, Islands Sports Day, football competitions, basketball competitions, rugby competition, Islands Cross Country Race, international dragon boat races, school Music Festivals and visual arts competitions.<br>III) Services: volunteer service projects, Youth Award Scheme, Outstanding Students Award Scheme, Flag Raising Team. <br>3. To encourage students to actively participate in extra-curricular activities. Our school has an incentive point scheme which takes into account students’ participation rate and performance. The five students with the highest-points will get gold awards; the following 20 will get silver.<br>4. Annual Concert and whole school participates in large-scale charity and sports activities outside the school.
