Home-School Co-operation |
The PTA aims to help both students and parents build a sense of belonging in the school. It also works very hard to enhance the communication between students, parents and the school, through a variety of activities, including parents' talks, cooking classes, voluntary service and Care Programs for students sitting for public examinations. This fosters a more caring interaction between the school and the students. Our school website also provides parents with timely information to help parents and students build a better parent-child relationship. |
School Ethos |
KLSS received the 'Inviting School Fidelity Award' for the year 2017 and 'Outstanding Caring School for Promoting Career and Life Planning Education' in 2019. KLSS is honored as a 'Caring Campus' for thirteen consecutive years. KLSS focuses on Character Education. A whole-school approach to counselling, discipline, co-curricular activities, civic education and advice for careers and further studies is used to meet our students' needs in the areas of physical, aesthetic and emotional development, life skills, moral values, family and inter-personal relationships. There are two mentors in junior forms and senior forms. Mentors are responsible for students’ growth; taking care of them and building up strong and long-lasting relationship with them. Our three-year plan is to practise life education and share a healthy life style. There is a monthly whole school moral theme - courtesy, respect, commitment, developing a sense of responsibility, self-discipline, integrity, caring, gratitude, optimism and perseverance. There are also inter-class competitions, weekly assemblies, level meetings and class periods - all designed to cultivate positive values and healthy attitudes in students. The aim is to equip the students with the positive attitudes they need to face future challenges. |
