Learning and Teaching Strategies To prepare students for lifelong learning, our pedagogy is student-centred to enhance self-directed learning. E-learning is adopted in all subjects and reading is actively promoted at HLC. HLC is the very first Hong Kong secondary school to collaborate with The University of Hong Kong to nurture gifted students through MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses). We also offer “HLC Scholar Scheme” which is a fast track curriculum to gifted students who obtain excellent results academically and complete MOOCs from designated subjects. HLC scholars may skip one year in the junior forms.
