Language Policy Our school places great emphasis on biliteracy and trilingualism. English is used as the medium of instruction in different classes and subjects. Additionally, English Across the Curriculum is implemented in selected subjects (please refer to the information on "Subjects Offered in the 2023/24 School Year" and "Subjects to be Offered in the 2024/25 School Year"). Specialized English courses such as English Literature and Media English are also offered as part of our distinctive curriculum. Moreover, our school hires additional native English teachers to create an English-learning environment.
Learning and Teaching Strategies We offer school-based courses to train students in critical thinking from multiple perspectives, such as Media English and English Literature, aiming to enhance both their learning and teaching abilities. Our school is dedicated to strengthening the English learning environment for students. In addition to offering school-based English and Media English courses, we collaborate with Toastmasters International to promote English public speaking skills. Simultaneously, our school places great emphasis on promoting reading through school-wide initiatives, designated reading periods, and book recommendations to enhance students' reading abilities. In recent years, our school has actively participated in curriculum reform activities organized by the Education Bureau. This includes implementing the English Seed Project and receiving leadership support for language curriculum development. To facilitate student learning, our school has established a campus-wide wireless network and equipped classrooms with tablet computers. By promoting e-learning, we aim to foster students' autonomy and allow students with outstanding potential or different talents to flourish. In terms of STEM education, our school has developed school-based curriculum, which includes robotics programming, mobile application development, virtual reality, augmented reality, 3D modeling and printing, and game development. Our curriculum design in the STEM field focuses on incorporating interdisciplinary elements, combining Science, Art, Design & Technology, and Mathematics courses to enhance students' cross-disciplinary learning abilities.
School-based curriculum 1. Electives: 3X. English Literature and Media English are included as a school-based junior secondary curriculum.<br> 2. Curriculum highlights: Our school has successfully applied for the Education Bureau's "e-Learning School Support Program" and provides wireless network coverage and tablet computers throughout the school to promote self-directed learning and the implementation of e-learning, thus enhancing learning effectiveness. Additionally, our school places importance on fostering students' general capabilities through cooperative learning. Students have participated in the "Fun With Learning" project-based competition and have won the overall championship multiple times, affirming their research abilities. Our school is committed to creating an English learning environment and offers two school-based courses, English Literature and Media English. It also organizes extended activities in English classrooms, such as English Day, speech training, and drama performances. Furthermore, overseas study tours are conducted every year, providing students with opportunities to engage in in-depth exchanges with locals in countries like the UK and Australia, thus enhancing their English proficiency and understanding of the local culture. Moreover, our school caters to students with diverse learning styles by continuously adjusting the curriculum and implementing scaffolded teaching. In terms of gifted education, the school has implemented a school-based gifted program, cultivating the strengths of gifted students starting from Form 1. The school also recommends and supports students to participate in gifted programs organized by universities based on their grade level and abilities, providing them with opportunities to interact with elite students from different schools. Students from the biology, science, and mathematics subjects have achieved excellent results, receiving first-class awards in the Olympiad competitions.
Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity Our school adopts a whole-school comprehensive approach to cater for students’ learning diversity through the close collaboration of the Academic Committee, Guidance and Counselling Committee, Student Support Committee and class teachers as well as the professional support from our two school social workers, educational psychologist and speech therapist.
Approach to Integrated Education Our school is committed to building a culture of inclusion through a whole-school approach to support the students with special educational needs. With the provision of school development grants, study grants and other community resources, the SEN students are provided with relevant and diverse support services for enhancing their learning effectiveness and their integration into the school environment.

Teacher Professional Training and Development Through cooperation and liaison with education organisations, our school has developed a tailor-made professional development plan and organized school-based professional exchanges, including seminars and workshops. Teachers are also encouraged to actively take part in professional development beyond the school, such as external seminars and overseas excursion.
Life-wide Learning Through a range of extra-curricular activities, students are encouraged to engage themselves in life-wide learning within and beyond the campus. Within our school, there are activities based on 4 houses, over 40 clubs, 5 uniform teams and various interest groups. English Public Speaking Club has been established and invited well-known public speaking personalities to enhance students’ public speaking skills. In arts education, our school promote music and dance. Regarding sports, we offer special training for elite teams and have won numerous awards in the Inter-School Athletics Competition and Inter-School Volleyball Competition. Besides, a number of overseas study tours are organized every year, like visiting the UK, Australia and other famous destinations around the world. We also establish connection with some mainland secondary schools as 'sister schools', through which regular exchange activities are offered for our students. All the above activities help widen students' experiences and vision, and build a positive outlook on the future.
