Language Policy Cantonese is the major teaching medium except in English lessons. A NET teacher is employed to enhance students' interest in learning English language. There are school-based curriculum, cross subject and group language activities, English debating, speaking competition and activities to implement the policy of 'biliteracy and trilingualism' so as to enrich the language learning atmosphere at school.<br>The school constantly provides English remedial and enhancement courses as well as oral practice lessons to assist students in language learning. <br>The Tuesday and Thursday morning assembly is conducted in English.
Learning and Teaching Strategies Policies on curriculum planning: <br>1. Curricula are designed based on EDB's 8 Key Learning Areas and the 4 key tasks. We modify the EDB curriculum to suit our school needs and build up a school-based curriculum of our own. <br>2. Curriculum Integration and cross subject activities are incorporated into the school curricula to further strengthen the learning and teaching effects.<br>3.Our school offers Hyread e-book, reading sessions, good book recommendation both by teachers and students, awards for the most active readers, ten good books election, inter-class board decoration competition, reading slogan competition, various reading schemes and subject-based recommended reading. All the above aims to cultivate an enriched reading environment for our students to enjoy.<br>4. Through IT teaching and learning, we aim to foster students to become independent learners and acquire knowledge accessibly.
School-based curriculum 1. Electives: 2X and 3X. Elective subjects include Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Tourism and Hospitality, Design and Applied Technology, History, Chinese History, Geography, Visual Arts, Information and Communication Technology, Business, Accounting and Financial Studies, Religious and Moral Education, etc.<br> 2. Curriculum highlights: The school provides various forms with Weekly Assembly in which seminars, talks, workshops or outings are held. Whereas in senior forms, Other Learning Experiences and Applied Learning courses are offered. It is hoped that senior form students can produce a content-rich portfolio for their further use.<br>Project learning trainings are provided in junior forms in order to enrich students with the relevant skills and knowledge which will enable them to utilise the generic skills in their daily life.
Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity Based upon the Attainment Test results, Form one students are allotted into suitable classes. According to their needs, the school arranges different tutorial lessons, training classes and learning groups for students to participate. Teachers of all subjects in senior forms also render tutorial support to students after school and during vacations.<br>There are also specific groups in school to take care of students with Special Educational Needs, Non-Chinese Speaking and Newly Arrival Students from Mainland China. The services take the form of consultation, counselling, remedial lessons, enhancement classes, language learning groups and various kinds of activities.
Approach to Integrated Education The school has set up a Learning Support Team. The team is formed consisting a teacher and three social workers. The aim of the team is to help students with Special Educational Needs in the areas of learning and socialising. The services provided include teaching adaptation, assessment accommodation, remedial learning groups, training on social skills, speech therapy services, Individual Education Plan, education psychologist's assessment and consultation, parents' meeting, pre- exam revision classes and so on.
Education Support for Non-Chinese Speaking (NCS) Students
Home-School Co-operation The Parent-Teacher Association and its voluntary work group provide the school with extra resources to assist in tendering advice as well as daily manoeuvre of tasks. The Home-School Co-operation Committee organises parent meetings, talks and assorted activities regularly in order to build up good relationship between the school and parents.<br>The members of the voluntary work group always assist in uniform recycling, meal tasting and tutorial class patrolling.
School Ethos Our school strives hard to create the school culture of mutual respect and foster students' whole-person development. Students are cultivated to be individuals with morals, good communication and interpersonal skills. <br>The supporting programmes include: <br>1. 'S.1 Student Formation Programme and S.1 Bridging Course', 'PATHS Programme', 'Leadership Training Programme', voluntary work, class activities and dual form-teacher system which all help building up the support network of S.1 students and help them set the right direction; <br>2. 'Adventure-based Counselling' and 'small group counselling' support all students to overcome problems encountered in their studies and growth process;<br>3. Guidance and Discipline Teams foster the balanced growth of our students; <br>4. Religious Affairs and Moral Education Teams cultivate the spiritual formation of students through regular activities such as morning assembly and monthly meetings.

Life-wide Learning The extra-curricular activities of our school are varied and splendid. They appeal to diversified interests including the academic and religious aspects, physical education and services. There are many clubs and school teams for students to join. Examples are Scout, Astronomy Club, Field and Track Team, Swimming Team, Basketball Team, Volleyball Team, Darts team, Frisbee team, Social Service Group, Choir, Bowling, Golf, Computer Club, Prefect Training and Voluntary Service Group. Our school also organizes school functions such as sports days, Yuen Tin All Star, Talent Show, school picnic, singing contest and different inter-class competitions to help students develop their interests and potentials.
