Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity |
Our school provides comprehensive support for students at different stages of their education. <br>S1-S3 students receive English and Maths group tutoring, after-school support, and access to iPads for e-learning. S4-S6 students benefit from scholarships, grants, and subsidized academic exchange tours. <br>After-school and weekend courses are set up for help students excel academically and prepare for future studies.<br>In senior forms, we offer medium-class and small-class teaching to accommodate diverse learners. Home-School Co-operation |
The school has developed a partnership of trust and openness with parents. In order to let parents understand more about the learning situations of children, they are encouraged to participate in the School's administration. The Association organizes various kinds of forums, including S.1 new students and parents' orientation day, PTA Annual General Meeting and breakfast meetings with the principal. To coordinate with the development of Other Learning Experiences (OLE), a number of diversified activities are organized for parents and students. For example, family day trips, Christmas gathering, educational talks, and different types of interest courses and workshops. Apart from giving out scholarships and financing students' extra-curricular activities, the PTA also prepares cards and gifts for teachers during Teachers' Week. Furthermore, a volunteer team is set up by the PTA to organize charity events and assist other school functions. |

Teacher Professional Training and Development |
The teacher professional development committee aims to enhance teachers' continuing professional development. To fit in with the curriculum reform, all teachers actively participate in seminars and workshops held by EDB, Sponsoring Body and other education organizations. In addition, each year the school has a number of professional development days for various training activities, and invites education experts and EDB staff to give talks and workshops to enhance teachers' professional knowledge and skills. The school also emphasizes collaborative teaching. The subject panel heads will hold meetings to co-design lesson plans and share teaching materials. The Teachers' Professional Development committee encourages intra-disciplinary and inter-disciplinary peer lesson observation, and to facilitate teachers' exchange of experiences in teaching, so as to increase teaching effectiveness. |
Life-wide Learning |
The School is committed to promoting different activities to cater to students with learning diversity. We hope to broaden students' horizons and inspire potential. Yet, let students try more to build self-confidence and hope for success. Activities are divided into religious, academic, service, sports, art, fun, and growth, such as Metaverse Media Creation, Golf, Commercial Photography, Joint Interact Council.<br>The School has included there diversity learning activities in the regular timetable, and students need to participate in at least two activities in the diversity learning period. In addition, we actively promote life-wide learning days, with different themes at different levels, involving Chinese, Mathematics, humanities, life planning and volunteer services. This enables students to explore their potential, plan their lives as early as possible, and cultivate their dreams. |
